What does "Gebrauchsgrafik" even mean?
Well, that's what it used to be called: literally "graphics for use." And useful graphics will always be in use. Wikipedia says: "Gebrauchsgrafik is graphic design that serves a practical, visual purpose." Or, to quote Kurt Weidemann: "The artist makes what he wants; the graphic designer wants what he makes."
A real designer? Nobody can afford that. Can't I just use AI?
Our prices are modest, and we can scale the work to fit your budget. AI can do a lot, but not everything. A design that expresses your brand and engages your customers in the right way can, so far, only be created by skilled people. Of course, we use AI tools too where it makes sense.
Do you offer fixed prices for design projects?
Yes. Transparency matters to me. After an initial, no-obligation conversation and a rough requirements analysis, I'll prepare a detailed quote with fixed project prices. That way you can plan with full confidence from day one, with no hidden costs.
Can you also handle the technical build of my website?
I design websites and apps with a deep understanding of what's technically feasible. For development, I either work closely with your in-house developers or draw on a trusted network of specialists to ensure precise implementation.
How much time should I set aside as the client?
Good design comes out of dialogue. For the best results, we schedule regular feedback rounds. My goal is an efficient, collaborative process that respects your time and gets us to the finish line quickly through clear milestones.
